NEW YORK/Nigeria: President Muhammed Buhari has departed for London to see his UK doctors for a scheduled medical appointment. President Buhari who had earlier addressed world leaders on Tuesday, September 19TH in New York for the 72ND session of the UN General Assembly departed New York for London today September 21ST according to SUN. Online newspaper, Sahara reporters in a tweet reported that the President is going to London to see his doctors on Saturday, September 23RD for a scheduled medical appointment.
The President who departed the John F. Kennedy International Airport at 10am was accompanied by permanent representative of Nigeria to the United Nations, Prof Tijani Bande. On hand to bid the president farewell were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Defence, Brig-Gen Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali, Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazzau, Minister of State, Environment, Ibrahim Jibrin, Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ambassador Babagana kingibe amongst others.
Meanwhile President Buhari revealed the content of his conversation with President Donald Trump in New York. In his post on his official Facebook page, President Buhari revealed that they discussed the US’ support for Nigeria especially in the areas of corruption and terrorism.
