Warri: As the #EndSARS protest continues to gain momentum across the country with more youths pouring out into the streets to make the protest thick, the Director General of a frontline human rights defender, the Conference for Actualization of Human Rights (CAHR), Barr. Omes Ogedegbe, has said that the group would join the #EndSARS protest to add more flesh to the less than two weeks long protest.
Barr. Ogedegbe made the declaration, on Monday 19, in Effurun, Delta State, during a press statement.
He added that the protesters’ demand which is centred around protection of the fundamental rights of the Nigerian citizens saliently falls within the core objectives of the human rights group. Continuing, he enjoined all members of the group to be on guard as modalities were being put in place to ensure a successful and impactful protest.
A sizeable number of members of the human rights group were present at the event.
