KWALE/Nigeria: The Delta State Head of Service (HOS), Mr. Reginald Bayoko has advised couples to always tolerate one another and adhere strictly to key principles aimed at sustaining their marriage.
Bayoko gave the advice at Ike-Onitcha in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the State during the traditional marriage ceremony of the daughter of the Permanent Secretary, Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB) , Mr. Augustine Chukwuma.
The HOS, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources Development, Engr. Blessing Edewor accompanied by the Director-General of the State Water Regulatory Commission, Engr. Henry Idama identified the importance of perseverance in any marriage.
While describing the Permanent of the Post Primary Education Board, Mr. Augustine Chukwuma as a man of inestimable value who had continued to pilot the affairs of the board diligently , Mr. Bayoko urgent the couple to shun third party influence in their union.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Post Primary Education Board, Mr. Augustine Chukwuma said that he was overwhelmed with joy that his last daughter had been married.
Chukwuma enjoined the couple to love each other at all times and allow the fear of God to guide their marriage, adding that they should tolerate each other.
In an interview with journalists, some wellwishers including the third member of the State Post Primary Education Board, Chief Venture Oyiborhoro, Chief (Dr.) Jonathan Udele and Mr. Godspower Ogwuah stressed the need for every individual of age to get married even as they prayed God to guide and protect the marriage.
