Obiaruku/Nigeria: In the spirit of the yuletide season, the High Commissioner for finance, Delta State Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije as a yearly benchmark invited the 5-man working Committee each of the ten (10) INEC WARDS in Ukwuani Local Government Area and eighteen (18) members of the Local Government executive to his abode in Umusume today December 30, 2020. The commissioner appreciated them for their conduct in the just concluded PDP primary elections. He further said and charged them to perform creditably well in the "forth- coming" local government election next year 6th March, 2021. Sir Okenmor Tilije dolled out millions of naira to the various Wards in the local government. And the money was distributed as follows: ☆ #250, 000 each to the various ten (10) INEC Wards in Ukwuani LGA plus one (1) Cow each. ☆ #250, 000 to the LGA executive members. ☆ #200, 000 to convey the cows to the various Wards in Ukwuani LGA i.e. each WARD with #20,000. Sir Tilije emphasised that the 5-man working committee should always carry other executive members and possibly all party men and women along. Speaking on behalf of the invitees, Mr Patrick Kaine, the LGA Chairman thanked Sir Fidelis Okenmor Tilije very expressly. Mr Kaine pledged that they will work assiduously to making sure that PDP wins next year's local government election, adhering strictly to the guidelines of the Mr. Patrick Ukah

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has announced a resumption date for second term for all public and private primary and secondary schools in the state.

According to a statement by the Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Mr. Patrick Ukah, in Asaba today, boarders are to return on Sunday, January 10, 2021 and classes will start on Monday, January 11, 2021.

While urging parents and guardians to strictly adhere to the dates by preparing the pupils and students for the resumption, the statement added that resumption tests will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Mr. Ukah reminded pupils and students that the resumption test will be part of their continuous assessment.
