ABUJA/Nigeria: Dr. Hoda Yassa has sent her heart felt appeal to the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria to give more support to women in business as this would boost the economy of the country.

This charged was given by the President of Arab Women Investor Union (AMIU) and CEO HYASSA GROUP of Companies, Dr. Hoda Yassa, at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, shortly after a dinner organised by the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) for Directors and other officials in attendance of the June 2021, NIPS Summit.

Dr. Yassa, who appealed to President Buhari to give more support to Nigeria business women, noted that women created businesses that were socially responsible and acceptable and should be constantly encouraged as that would boost the economy in the country.

She added that Egyptian women were very hard working, saying that they held sensitive positions in government and the society.

Speaking further, she declared that the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi led administration had eight women as ministers among other key positions in Egypt.

She called on the FG of Nigeria to allow Nigerian women to play active role in governance among other positions in the country, just as she appreciated Nigeria women for always working hard and not giving up, even as she charged them to continue in that light and remember that failure was for quitters.

She thanked President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,  Timipre Marlin Slyva, Nigeria Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mallam Kolo Mele Kyari, GMD, NNPC, facilitators, exhibitors and many others who made the 2021 NIPS programme successful, saying that she had learnt so much from participating in the programme and would advise her country to organise such of it.
