A political pressure group, Movement for Democracy and Good Governance (MDG), has called on the people of Oshimili South Constituency to take their destiny into their hands and act wisely by making good use of the opportunity thrown up by the upcoming political dispensation and vote the Labour Party candidate, Comrade Clement Chukwudi Odukwe in the forthcoming 2023 election, to represent Oshimili South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, DTHA.
The group, made the call recently as part of its sensitization activities geared towards ensuring high calibre of politicians is elected into political offices in Nigeria in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The group said, “Among the candidates of the various political parties in the contest for the Oshimili South Constituency seat, Comrade Clement Chukwudi Odukwe is most competent and qualified for the coveted political office. His entire life as a progressive young man is characterized by selfless service to humanity.”
The group further stated, “In whatever criteria one would want to rate the candidates, Comrade Odukwe proudly stands out as a vibrant youth gifted with rare wisdom and uncommon intelligence to serve his constituents with diligence, honesty and untainted patriotism. Most importantly, he is unquestionably incorruptible and has a knack for good governance driven by unfettered love for his people.”
The group said that the innate qualities Comrade Odukwe would bring to bear on legislative duties are scarce resource being sought for to inspire quality deliberative process at the House of Assembly that would improve wellbeing of Deltans and advance good governance in Delta State.
Describing Comrade Odukwe as a child of destiny, the group commended his unrivalled commitment to emerge winner at the polls, saying that such youthful zeal and vision cannot be whittled away by any opposition in the ongoing political contest.
The group passionately called on the people of Oshimili South Constituency to look beyond the superficial display being put up by the supposedly large political parties in the form of campaigns, and identify a potential candidate in the person of Comrade Odukwe and give him the massive support and vote he needs to be elected as the representative of Oshimili South Constituency at the DTHA, in 2023.
Speaking further, the group noted that Delta state would have the opportunity to kick-start the much needed economic and industrial development in the state, when the right and competent persons are given the opportunity through the ballot to become legislators at the DTHA.
The group assured of its support to ensure Comrade Clement Odukwe’s victory at the forthcoming 2023 election, even as it called on other organisations, and individuals to support Comrade Clement Odukwe for the betterment of the people of Oshimili South Constituency and Delta State.
