WARRI/Nigeria: A pro Delta Political Pressure and Advocacy Group, Delta Elite for Food Governance, DEGG, have knocked the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District in National Assembly, Senator James Manager, passing a vote of no confidence on him.
The group in a statement, signed by the Coordinator Engr, Ben Efetobor Imoniwhera and the state secretary Ebibulukaemi Richard over the weekend during the swearing ceremony of the three senatorial coordinators of the group, described Sen Manager’s years of political experience as a total waste of time and a square peg in a round hole.
The group further alleged that Bar James Manager as Councilor, LGA Chairman, PDP Chairman, Commissioner and a Senator has never performed in any capacities rather than feasting on the Commonwealth of his constituency because no remarkable achievement that could be ascribe to his person.
It stated that it’s high time the masses begin to evaluate all leaders on the ground of their disposition towards adding values to humanity.
It further stated that Sen. James Manager as a lawyer, he was not known to have practiced law at anytime neither has he ever earned living outside politics so he has been feasting on the people’s Commonwealth all his life without any significant positive impacts on the people the group added.
Going forward, the group insisted in a strong term that the era of some individuals particularly in Africa to perpetuate themselves on the corridor of power without meaningful impact is over and the new page for fresh blood with innovative propensity is here to pave for accelerated development across Africa which automatically fenced the like of Sen. James Manager out of this system to avail him a robust opportunity to manage his private affairs successfully and allow those with developmental stride acumen to give the people desirable leadership at all levels he added.
Engr Efetobor equally stress on the fact that what Senator Manager described as political experience is logical absurdity because occupying a position without positive impact on the people is not only criminal but also an absolute impediment to good governance and warned every praise singers eulogizing him with the sole intention to extort him to stop and allow him to focus on his personal career and family instead of talking him into continuing in his political pool.
The group charges all political actors jostling for one position or the other to slow the pace of their politicking not to heat up the polity and allow the present administration focus on delivery their electoral promises without distraction.
On a new Electoral Bill, the group advised the National Assembly to synergize with the presidency on the quick passage of electoral bill ahead of 2023 election also advocate for full participation of Nigeria youths in all elective positions to truncate the possibilities of some people without remarkable impacts to continue to occupy elective positions in Nigeria more than single term which I described as symptom of failed system.
The high point of the event was the swearing in ceremony of Senatorial Coordinators and LGAs coordinators of the group which they were advised to shun politics of ethnicity and sentiment rather they should remain resolute and focus on the aims and objectives of the group as the voice of the masses for posterity has a place of reward for everyone who genuinely contributes to the development for his/her province.
