The Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Advocate 4 Peace & Justice (CNYAPJ), has called on mischief makers to desist from sponsoring uncouth and malignant publications against the Deputy Senate President (DSP), H.E Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, warning that further attempt to disparage the hard earned good image of the latter would not be tolerated.

The National Coordinator of the group, Comr. Christian Oyibu, stated this during a press conference  yesterday, 17 January, 2020, held in Warri, headquarters of Warri South LGA, of Delta State.

Comr. Oyibu, said the press conference became necessary in order to interrogate the naysayers who are bent on dragging the good image of H.E Sen. Omo-Agege to the mud, even as he noted that one Solomon Adodo is the syndicate behind the hate publication, adding that other disgruntled and faceless persons are co-sponsors of the dastardly act, orchestrated to malign the reputation of H.E Sen. Omo-Agege for no justifiable reason other than mere aversion and envy.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the group, the following concerns were raised as follows:

“Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous    publication on the social media platforms by a disgruntled element riding on the name, Solomon Adodo, viciously orchestrated to tarnish the revered reputation of the Deputy Senate President (DSP) of Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege.

“We are taken aback that the so called Solomon Adodo could throw caution to the wind and tenaciously busy the social media space with puerile and concocted lies intended to malign and injure the sprawling image of the doyen of Delta politics, H.E Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, and in turn satiates his appetite for pecuniary inducement.

“Surprisingly, the campaign of calumny orchestrated by the naysayer and author of confusion, Solomon Adodo, was taken too far to the extent that he is calling on the doyen of Delta politics, H.E Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to resign from his exalted office of Deputy Senate President (DSP) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Suffice to say that  while the hatched plot to antagonise the DSP is widely being condemned by good conscience and progressive Nigerians,  we could see the leprocious hands of ravenous mischief makers who are bent on causing a disquiet in the Nigerian political firmament and jeopardizing the new found peace, harmony and emerging progress in the Nigerian political system, with Solomon Adodo positioned to prime and execute their dubious and malicious plot.

“We are amazed that Solomon Adodo would expend much energy and quality time to pursue a vain cause upon which he desperately stood truth on its head, thereby dramatising orchestrated lies just to spun the hard earned prominence H.E Sen. Omo-Agege has become over the years.

“By reason of  Solomon Adodo’s antics and his notoriety in using the poorly regulated social media to haul heinous attacks on noble personalities making their marks in Nigerian political space, just to tarnish their image in recent times, we would have ignored his infantile and spurious statements very recently, but we consider it imperative this auspicious time to puncture his pit-of-hell crafted lies and mudslinging and keep his devious tendencies at bay, in order not to distort and truncate the progressive agenda of H.E Sen. Omo-Agege who has passionately kickstarted a new brand of unfettered socioeconomic development of Delta Central Senatorial District with unprecedented speed.

“As every right thinking Deltan would candidly decipher without any prompting, H.E Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege is the leading light in the politics of South-South geopolitical zone. Interestingly, his sprawling intellection, vibrancy and political ingenuity have unequivocally spurred his career to enviable  height and earned him the ennobled position as Deputy Senate Speaker (DSP) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; a towering achievement that has etched his name in the annals of Nigerian history.

“Resplendently, the good people of South-South geopolitical zone are proud of his rare show of gallantry and mastery of the razzle-dazzle Nigerian politics – no doubts  they are collectively giving him the desired support and wishing him well in his dazzling political career.

“On that note, we want to sternly remind Solomon Adodo and his cohorts that the trail blazing leadership of H.E Sen. Omo-Agege, coupled with the huge support he garners from his constituents currently, are lofty expletives too outstanding and resonating for any infantile rascal to tarnish on the social media platform.

“Most importantly, Solomon Adodo should know that he cannot take us back to the horrible days of “Jankara Politics” which thrived on the PHD (Pull Him Down) ideology, as Nigerians and indeed, Deltans will tenaciously forbid and resist any action, signal or ploy invented by traducers to wheel the people along that path.

“However, as Solomon Adodo has chosen to dance half-naked at the market square, the wrath of the gods are fast on his trail. For that reason, we strigently remind him to beat a detour from his self-annihilating adventure and turn a new leaf by transmitting an apology letter to the humble personality he has serially vilified for no justifiable reason other than mere hatred, aversion and hubris.

“We are not unaware that in present day Nigeria, poverty has breeded desperation so much that personal aggrandizement has become the order of the day. Small wonder, Solomon Adodo, obviously overwhelmed by his rapacious quest for pecuniary gains, would make himself a willing tool for hauling mud on the image of a reputable personalities in the calibre of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege.

“At this juncture, we call on him to desist from the ignoble path he is travelling. But if he continues, we can only tell him that the God of the riteous is patiently watching.”

It will be recalled that the recent attack on the personality of the Deputy Senate President (DSP) has been seriously condemned by well meaning Nigerians in recent times.
