It was all praise  for the quintessential and pragmatic President of the apex Igbo sociocultural organisation, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts (DCSSD), Chief Ezeh Nnajiofor Micheal as he was bestowed with an award for outstanding Leadership by the Igbo Students Association (ISA) of the College of Education, Warri (COEW), Delta State.

Presenting the award to Chief Ezeh, at Ichida hall, Warri, on the  occasion of the organisation’s monthly meeting, held on Sunday, 21 October, the immediate past President of ISA, COEW, Comr. Edeh Arinzechukwu Elijah, described the recipient as a visionary leader whose passion for the growth of the Igbo race is unparalleled.

“Hon. Chief Ezeh Nnajiofor Micheal is an outstanding Igbo leader; his antecedents and past record are glowing evident to attest to this fact, Comr Edeh stated.

Continuing, he said, this award bestowed on Chief Ezeh, by the Igbo Students Association, COEW chapter, is our unique way to convey our gratitude to him for his exemplary leadership, and we urge him to continue with his good work. We pray for God’s protection upon him as he strives to achieving his cardinal goals for the betterment of the Igbo people.”

Adding, “We pledge our unalloyed support for him as students and wish him good luck as he continues to pilot the affairs of Ohaneze Ndigbo on a progressive note.”

Chief Ezeh, who was excited at the kind gesture from the Igbo students’ body, promised to promote a legacy of integrity, love and unity among Ndigbo with unbroken zeal.


In a related development, Chief Mike Chukwu,  Chief Barr. Oliver Eze and Chief Ikenna Chiwetalu have been sworn-in as Vice President, Secretary General and Welfare II of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts. They will join other members of the Executive to pilot the administrative affairs of the organisation.

Barr. J.C Nwaibenne administered the oath of office, as he charged the officers to discharge their duties diligently in harmony with the rules and regulations of the organisation. 

It would be recalled that the Chief Ezeh Nnajiofor led executive of Ohaneze Ndigbo, DCSSD, was inaugurated recently to pilot the affairs of the organisation for the next four years.
