Bishop Greatman Nmalagu, Executive Assistant to Delta Governor on Religious Matters

ASABA/Nigeria: The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu had called on the Chairman of the Niger Delta Peace Coalition, NDPC, Mr. Zik Gbemre to apologise to the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his comment on the state of the security situation in the state.

It could be recalled that the Delta State Governor recently in a public comment asked Nigerians to pray more in order to overcome the different security challenges facing the state and the country.

Reacting to the comment of the governor, Mr. Gbemre had stated in a press release, that “To think that Governor Okowa urged Nigerians to pray more, as if prayers are now the best solution to addressing the security problems in the country is unfortunate and unacceptable.”

Reacting to the above statement, the Executive Assistant to the Governor, in a statement in Asaba, called on the chairman of NDPC to publicly apologise to the governor for making such statement, when the state government through different poly actions had taken steps to secure the state.

He stated that “it’s quite obvious, that the amiable, working governor of Delta State; Sen. Dr Okowa is not relenting effort in praying and working hard to ensure the safety of lives and property in this state.”

“He had put in place formidable security outfits, such as Delta Hawk, provision of vans and other security requirements.”

“Therefore, it is wickedness to undermine God and talk evil of a godly governor who is bringing developments to the entire state, providing security measures and outrightly fighting all manners of crime perpetrators.”

He therefore urged the Mr. Zik Gbemre to urgently apologise to the Governor to avoid the wrath of God on him, making reference to some scriptural verses.

“Apologize to God and good people of Delta state because “Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.” Prov.17:13.”

“Zik Gbemre Apologize to God and Deltans for undermining God and being ingrate to Him, to escape His wrath.”

“Zik Gbemre, l refer to the publication made in your name on 4th January, 2020 in Guardian Newspaper and to tell you that whether you like it or not, you know or you do not want to know, God is the best solution to all the problems that are affecting this nation; Nigeria, in all areas.”

“Whether you attend church or not, believe in the existence of God or not. No matter your agnostic belief in God and undermining Him, that He God is not the best solution to the problems that are badly affecting Nigeria and her inhabitants.”

“God remains whom He is. He is supreme. Without His intervention, there cannot be solutions to the security, economic and so forth challenges confronting this nation.”

He pointed out that the Governor is not relenting in his efforts to ensure development and security of the state is sustained as can be noticed from his policies and implementation.

“Therefore, it is wickedness to undermine God and talk evil of a godly governor who is bringing developments to the entire state, providing security measures and outrightly fighting all manners of crime perpetrators.”

Accusing the governor for asking people to keep praying to God for solutions to the problems that bedraggled Nigeria is uncalled for, irresponsible, unethical and inhumane. Zik, know this,” The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good”

“Psalm 14:1. Your publication is no solution to the problems. Without God, there will be no solutions to the problems in Nigeria.” He stated.
