OGBORIKOKO/Nigeria: This year’s Andy Kpedi ‘ s Peace Basketball Camp has ended in Ugborikoko, Uvwie Local Government Area on Saturday 26th March, 2022.

The 2day basketball game program was meant for persons between the ages of 7 to 20years old.

The program featured free throws, dunk, 3 pointer and go for it.

Sixty participants including male and female participated in the program

The sponsor of the basketball camp program, Andy Kpedi who spoke to our correspondent in an exclusive media chat explained that the annual sports program was meant to fetch basketball talents at the grassroots

He disclosed that participants were thought the basis in basketball game

The Egini Udu born US based ex basketball international expressed optimism that there were a lot of potential Nigeria basketball players, among the participants.

He however stressed that the participants must follow up what they were taught in the program to harness their potentials.

The basketball coach in the program, Omamode Tom Idike spoke in the same vein as he praised the participants for working hard to put in their best.

He disclosed that training will continue three times in week after the annual camp program at the same venue after school hours.

Coach Carlos as he is fondly called, lamented that soccer has over shadowed other games in Delta State.

He noted that there were a lot of benefits in basketball game like in soccer.

Coach Carlos recalled that the sponsor of the program got scholarship to study in the United States of America (USA) through basketball/

One of the participants, Divine Ologide attested to the fact that they learnt a lot in the 2days basketball game program

He expressed appreciation to the sponsor for the gesture.
