Famous human rights activist, journalist and Executive Director of Global Action Against Hunger, Crime and Violation of Peoples’ Rights (GAHCAVPER), Comr. Emeka Nwokocha, will bury his father in-law, late Alloycious Nwokorobia Igbojiokwu on May 21, 2021. According to Comr. Nwokocha, the burial will take place in Umuoke-Umuerim village, Atta, in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State. He described his late father in-law as a man of peace who would not hurt a fly. Continuing, Comr. Nwokocha said the legacy of late Pa Alloycious Igbojiokwu was legendary, stating that he will be given a befitting burial in honour of his rare pedigree and unrivaled contribution to the well-being of the people of his community.
His words, “l have lost a man of inestimable honour, a man of peace, a man of genial and benevolent disposition, an ingenious man full of humour and love for humanity. He lived a pius life and never had a quarrel with his kinsmen, neighbours, customers and friends. He was a hard working man who had built a lasting trait of integrity and honesty in his trade as a renowned ‘wrist-watch & Clock doctor.’ My father in-law lived in Okere community, Warri for over 50 years and maintained cordial relationship with everybody, a virtue that earned him unquantifiable respect from the good people of Okere community, his friends, his in-laws, and children.
Late Pa Alloycious Igbojiokwu
“His demise calls for sober reflection, as it further affirms the popular saying that life is ephemeral. But then, we, the living must learn some lessons from the message his death speaks to us.
“l recall the very day he left us to be with our Lord, we were all devastated, our hearts seared with scorching pains, as it looked like the word would come to an end. You can imagine when you find your loved one in a circumstance that put everybody on a tensed mood. l mean a frightening health condition only the doctors could understand what was playing out and what would happen next.
“Despite the bout of medications given to my father in-law by dedicated doctors, we still lost him to the cold hand of death. Though we mourn his painful exit, l give thanks to God, just as He admonishes us to always do in every situation we find ourselves. May the kind soul of my father in-law, the great Alloycious Nwokorobia Igbojiokwu rest in perfect peace, Amen.”
Pa Alloycious Nwokorobia Igbojiokwu was survived by wife, seven children, 14 grand-children, brother, sisters, and other relatives.
