The Federal House of Representatives aspirant for the Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo Federal Constituency, Chief Julius Emmanuel Ukachukwu, has emerged winner in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held on Friday at Obiozara, headquarters of Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State.
Ukachukwu polled a total of 150 votes to defeat his closest rival and only opponent, Hon. Felix Igbokwe who scored twenty votes to trail behind Ukachukwu.
Our correspondent reports that accreditation began around noon adding that the exercise was peaceful, credible and without any hitches, stressing that delegates comported themselves with decorum.
Newsmen also reports that total number of accredited delegates was 170 and number of invalid votes was zero, adding that collation, counting and announcement of result followed immediately after voting ended around 2 p.m.
Ukachukwu in his acceptance speech, thanked the delegates, his supporters and the party for the peaceful conduct of the primary and for finding him worthy to fly the flag of APC in 2023 House of Representatives election in the constituency.
Ukachukwu, Chief Executive Officer at Julius Giant Global Resources, is a renowned successful businessman and an Industrialist.
He is also a renowned philanthropist whose tract record endeared the good people of OHANIVO federal Constituency to entrust him with their mandate.
