UGHELLI: A political Pressure Group, the Urhobo Patriotic Front, has thrown their weight behind the governorship ambition of Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angozi. This was stated in Press Release, where they said he is best person to takeover from Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, come May 29, 2023.
This is coming barely few hours the DC-2023 Forum met in Asaba, the delta State Capital to strategise for the 2023 Delta State Governorship slot, where they took a stern decision not to go for anything, but the governorship position.
The Group in the statement signed by the National Coordinator, Amb (Comr) Ufuoma Erisuena, and the National Secretary, Comr. Aloba Paul Akpevwe, and made available to our Journalists, the group said they took the decision after careful study of the various aspirants who their names had been put forward as possible candidates especially from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the release, the records of his achievements when he was the Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, tells you that he has the capacity to bring development to the state, through industrial innovation, by tapping from the abundant manpower in the state.
The group pointed out that its on record as a commissioner for Agriculture, he initiated and created the opportunity for agricultural funding for the rural farmers in the state, which helped in the revolution of that sector.
They stated that Delta State need continuity, to continue with the infrastructure and economic development, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had achieved, as the government had positioned the youths on the need to acquire entrepreneurial skill, for tomorrow, knowing his love for the youths as demonstrated during his time in political offices, and after.
“Dr. Braduce Angozi, is a lover of the youths, and human development. Right from when he was a councilor, and later Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, he had never hidden his love for the training of the youths educationally. He gave freely, and he was never tired of seeing to the development of the youths.”
“We have seen, and heard names of possible candidates of the various political parties, but we will be more comfortable with Dr. Angozi Braduce. A focused man, and who will be able to continue with the achievements of the present PDP government, under Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.”
“Our group believes that the next governor of the state, should continue with the drive to solidify already gained milestone for development. Okowa had set the template, and the only man that will sustain the template, is Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angozi. We support him.
“He is a detribalised politician, and an innovator, as noticed when he held sway as chairman of his council Area, and Commissioner of Agriculture. “Outside public positions, he had continued to exhibit that quality of leadership that only focused, and detribalised leaders possess. This is the type of man the state needs to build the future Delta, where the focus will be both human and good infrastructure development. The group stated.
